Q. Is the matchmaking service completely free?
A. Our service is 100% free until January 1st 2011. At that point, there will be a monthly cost of $9.99 to be a misterNmisses.com member.
Q. Is my personal information safe?
A. misterNmisses.com will never share your
information with any 3rd party for any reason at all. misterNmisses.com members
will never be able to find out what your name is, date of birth, contact info, or
any other sensitive information unless you provide it yourself.
Q. How do I communicate with other members?
A. You can send messages and chat. In order
to chat with another member, you must send an “interest” and the recipient must
accept it. Once the member accepts your “interest”, he/she will be added to your
contacts list in the chat box. Sending an “interest” is also a good ice breaker
if you are unsure how to start a conversation through messaging or you simply want
to let the other member know you are interested. You can also update your profile
status to indirectly communicate with the overall member base.
Q. How do I keep my pictures private?
A. In order to keep your pictures private, you must click the privacy option while uploading your pictures during the profile registration process. You can make your pictures private or public at anytime by navigating through the My Account tabs as well. If your picture is private, other members can express an "Interest" in your profile and if you accept the "Interest" request, your picture will become visible to that member. Your picture will remain visible to that member; however, will continue you to show up as private to all other members whose "Interest" you have not accepted. Also, please note that if your picture is private and you express an "Interest" in another member, your picture will automatically be displayed for the member to see. It is important to note that all pictures of members on misterNmisses.com are loaded in such a way that no other member can save the picture outside of our website.
Q. How do I block unwanted attention?
A. You can filter members by selecting criteria
in the “Partner Preference” page. You can access the “Partner Preference” page via
the questionnaire or through the “Edit My Profile” section. Filtered members will
not be able to send you messages, see any of your social networking links, your
pictures, or your status updates. Filtered members will be able to send you interest
notifications; however, they will show up as from a filtered member. If you accept
an “interest” from a filtered member, the member will by default become unfiltered.
Q. How do I cancel my account?
A. You need to go to “My Account” and then “Account Info”, which is where you can cancel your account. Once you cancel your account, you will no longer be a member of misterNmisses.com nor will you be charged any fees.
Q. I have registered but why can’t I see my
profile online?
A. Once you register, your profile is sent
to a misterNmisses.com staff member for approval. Once approved, your profile will
immediately become live. The approval process generally takes 6-12 hours.
Q. When do I receive notifications?
A. You will receive notifications in your email
anytime you receive an “interest”, message, picture request, and acceptances or
declines.
Q. Am I required to provide responses to every
question on the questionnaire?
A. You are highly encouraged to provide detailed
responses to all the questions; however it is not mandatory. Your profile will not
get nearly as noticed by failing to provide detailed responses. The Basic Info and
Partner Preference questions are mandatory with the exception of “hair color” for
women.
Q. How many pictures can I upload?
A. You can upload up to 5 pictures. Your pictures
will show up in high quality and you have the option to include captions.
